A process for the manufacture of Ethylidene Norbornene (ENB) was developed in the 1970’s by our parent company (JX NOE). This proprietary process is used at a 20 kT plant located in Kashima, Japan and in two 20 kT operating units in our Pasadena, TX facility (started in 2003 and 2007). ENB is primarily used as a ter-monomer in the production of certain grades of EPDM rubber. Please follow the links on this page for more information about our ENB product or co-products or contact our commercial group here.
